Chalmers Bucket = Rock Chalk Jayhawks National Title

Oh my! What an astonishing game. The Kansas Jayhawks winning the NCAA Championship for the first time in 20 years under Bill Self’s coaching! Whether you are a Memphis fan or a Kansas fan, you had to love the way the game was played last night. It was an emotional nail biter where neither team could pull away for more than a few minutes. However, in the end, it was Memphis’ poor free-throw shooting and KU’s Mario Chalmers with a three-pointer in the final three seconds to tie the game and send it to overtime.

Bill Self said "It'll probably be the biggest shot ever made in Kansas history." That statement couldn’t be any truer! :) Every time I watch it I cry, WOW! If my Grandmother Weigel were alive, she would be so ecstatic about the outcome of this game..... :)

After all, final score, KU 75, Memphis 68!

My son was able to participate in the celebration in Lawrence last night and this is how it looked from where he was....... pretty amazing to have so many happy people in one place. :)
